The knitters amongst my readers will instantly get the reference in today's post title. For the non-knitters amongst you, let me illuminate you...recently Belinda Stronach, a Canadian Liberal MP, made waves in the knitter community with her comment that she doesn't "sit at home and knit on Friday nights" (Globe and Mail, Saturday, September 30, 2006). (Diane has a post including a photo of the headline of this article on her blog.)Clearly Belinda doesn't know the first thing about knitters...because here is the proof that they aren't sitting at home on Friday nights either! Or many other nights, for that matter.
