What a girl won't do to impress her boyfriend's mother on her 60th birthday! This extraordinary quilting themed cake was made by Ms. Blonde One yesterday. It took her 11 hours, 6 cake mixes, 30 lbs of icing sugar, 2 lbs of chocolate, 8 tantrums, 2 feet, 1 tireless boyfriend/dishwasher/cake shlepper. Okay, I made all that up except the first and last item which I know to be facts. But whatever the exact statistics, it was all worth it. It is truly a thing of beauty and as tasty as it looks!Check it out in all its glory...
