Treat-treat!

Those of you who know me well, know how much I like treat-treats! Yessireebob, I do love 'em! I love 'em in any size, shape or flavour. I'll come running when I hear these words!

But I particularly love 'em when they belong to someone else. Like this sumptuous Toasted Seed Roll from the Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery in Calgary, sent overnight delivery from the Queen of the Wild West to Mrs. Peeps for her birthday. I tell ya, ya'all need to make friends with the Queen for this kind of royal service!

I just want to state for the record, before ya'all are affronted that I would tuck into Mrs. Peeps's birthday present, that:
a) it is not her birthday until tomorrow at which point she turn one hundred and eleventy (or she feels like she will turn this, I'm not entirely clear on this point);
b) this bun had several friends (some of whom are no longer with us and the rest of whom shall shortly no longer be);
c) Mrs. Peeps likes to share with me (perhaps not as much as I would like, but she does insist that I am not particularly hard done by, much as I might like to champion to the contrary).

Bottom line: everybody will have a treat-treat today! Well, everybody in the Peepses house, anyway.

God save the Queen!

It is almost time to officially wish Mrs Peeps Happy Birthday! Luckily she dropped a hint to jog my bad memory a week or so ago and I was then able to confirm with an inside mole( as opposed to the furry outside kind, or worse- the kind you find on skin....moley moley moley!) at her place of work. Mole, you know who you are....

So the Queen sent buns express! How sweet! My mother was known to send sausages from TO to Vancouver....Wonder what the posties thought when they x-rayed that "package?" - oh my! the double entendre is almost too much fun!
It's good to see the partying has begun - and I hope it will continue into next week. Stretch that last bun out -make it last!
