Ms. Blonde One started knitting last year with Mrs. Peeps, but she kind of stalled after the first scarf. She received a gift certificate for her birthday to Passion Knit and proceed to purchase some very soft scrumptious yarn for a hat/scarf set, but didn't get back into knitting until this year. Now's she's rocking - three projects completed in January alone! A Rasta Hat (modeled at the Spotted Dick last month), a Goldilocks Shawl and a baby sweater for her sweet niece who lives in Winnipeg. Hopefully Ms. Blonde One has all these items with her this weekend in Winnipeg (she went for a visit) -- when I was told it was minus 38 degrees C there NOT INCLUDING THE WINDCHILL, I had a good chuckle at her expense! Brrr! They don't call it Winter-peg for nothing!

koko - i have stayed indoors most of my time here. It was the coldest Feb 4 on record! Brr....
That yarns looks great! Never been to Winnipeg, but my friend has been many times and says the weather is unbearable. I envy The Blonde One, for having a neice to knit for. I desperately want to knit a baby garment, but alas, no babies!
Leah....local hospital gift shops are usually looking for volunteer knitters to make baby sets...you can get your fix and do something for a good cause!
