On the needles...

A wonderful weekend, spent in good company: yarn! I had a lovely nap with the Sea Silk that was no longer the Lace Wings Shawl, the sad result of binding-off experiment gone amok. Well, it was fun to knit the first time (with the exception of the binding off) and hopefully it will be just as fun to knit the second time...

Continuing project: made excellent progress this weekend - finished the front and started the back of the Simple Sleeveless Shell by Sally Melville in Fustic by the Fibre Company. This yarn is pretty yummy - 60% merino, 20% baby alpaca, 20% silk!

New project cast on this weekend: Clapotis by Kate Gilbert (from knitty.com). In the West Coast 2006 yarn - Evita by Zitron.

Thanks to the Clapotis chart which was posted on a knitting group's site, it is moving along nicely!

There's a few other projects on the needles, including two scarves, but many more that are calling out to be started! Sadly, there are only so many hours in a day and so many long weekends in a year...

And in completely unrelated knitting news, we enjoyed Yvette's garden's bounty for several meals this weekend - best tasting tomatos and zucchini, ever! Last night: curried couscous, steamed zucchini and potatos, fresh tomatos and feta cheese, topped with East India Company's homemade garam masala.

At least you are getting lots of mileage out of that yarn!

Tasty looking meal!
