This blog used to be all things Koko, by Koko, a Siamese cat from Toronto. Koko is no longer with us, but her blog lives on. Sort of.

Hanalan's Forest by Thomas G. Fairbairn
Since I am a bit busy right now and have little time to blog, I thought I'd take this opportunity to make this shameless plug for my friend Tom's book.
You'll be enchanted by the story of Yon and Tull as they grow up and experience their world in very different ways. Reminiscent of Kenneth Oppel's Silverwing series, younger readers (and the young at heart!) will be engaged by the adventures of Yon and Tull, learning about the forest and the city from the perspective of the two sibling raccoons who take very different paths. On another level, Hanalan's Forest offers insight into the complex nature of relationships, learning and wisdom, and the tensions between the old and the new, the urban and rural. Canadian readers will enjoy the Canadian reference points, both geographic and cultural, integrated into the story. [from my on-line review]
It's awesome! Check it out on Amazon.ca where you'll find a description of the book, some reviews and, of course, ordering info!
