At the movies

Last Friday I took a half day off work, and after a lovely brunch at Sadie's Diner and shopping on Queen West, went to the movies in the afternoon. It was a lovely day and provided some small solace for cancelling two weeks on Vancouver Island.

We went to see the new Harry Potter movie. I've been looking forward to this for ages -- especially since there has been this huge installation and constant reminder steps away from where I work! Not only was the exterior of the building (located at Queen & McCaul) painted, but there was also an interior display. After seeing the movie, I'm not really sure what the set-up was supposed to be as I didn't notice it specifically (possibly Professor Slughorn's study or potions class setting), but perhaps it is more of an "inspired by" display. Not anywhere near as good as the Lord of the Rings props/set shows that were at Casa Loma and the ROM, but still fun.
